The Walk....The Dance...The Spell, Oh My!

Here's the timeline for the main event before we set you Witches free:

The Walk - Line-up will begin  at 5:00 behind the fountain at Schade-Mylander Plaza, with the official Witches' Walk to start promptly at 5:30. We will be walking towards and around the perimeter of the pier.

The Dance - Those participating in the official witches' dance will lead the parade. If you are NOT participating in the official dance, please line up at the back of the parade.  For you daring, dancing witches, as you come down the street, be sure to leave a full broom's width between you so you'll have enough room to shake that broom! Lights and sound will stretch all the way through the route, and the entire pier will be blocked off so be sure to spread out for this interactive, magical performance! Listen for the music to change and follow the Supreme Witch.

The Spell - Once we've all made our final decent upon the cauldron, we'll cast The Opening Spell.  Listen for the Supreme Witch to say,  "All this from these words dispense," and then we'll finish the spell by shouting together, "And let the witching now commence!" 

Then cackle away!  All of you! Let the entire city know...the witches are back!

The Costume Contest - Directly following The Opening Spell, all costume contestants should listen for the DJ to direct you to the stage where you'll individually make your witchy walk across for judging. The top 10 witches will record a video explaining what went into their costume to then be put on our Facebook page for virtual voting until Halloween. The witch with the most votes will win The Goldon Broom - making them a member of The Supreme Witches' Coven for life!
       
Costume rules:
                   *You must be wearing something on your head                            that a witch would wear.

                     *You must be carrying something                                                     that a witch would carry.

                      *You cannot just order a complete costume.                                Only 50% of it can be bought in one purchase.                          Be creative and piece it together.


After the costume contest, let the witching begin! Go have fun!
